The purpose of this article is to outline the Medicaid Documentation - Prescription request and upload process for Medicaid eligible children.   Prescriptions must be provided for every school year session.
 
1) In order to determine whether a prescription is needed, you will first want to check the Missing Documents Preventing Claiming list.  
    You would find this list under the Medicaid menu -> Missing Documents -> Missing Documents Preventing Claiming.  
 
   The next list you will want to check is the Missing Script list.  This may be found under the Medicaid menu -> Missing Documents ->         Missing Scripts.  
 
2)  Please make sure that all files are saved to your computer prior to the upload process. 
 
3)  There are two ways to upload a script into the CPSEPortal: 
 
     A. Prescription Entry Maintenance:
          1) You will first want to upload the image - To do this, go to the Medicaid menu -> Prescriptions -> Prescription Entry Maintenance .
        
 
 
           Search for child -> Click Select on child's enrollment ->
                 
         
 
         Click UPLOAD PRESCRIPTION IMAGE ->. 
              
       
 
 
         Choose file -> Complete ALL fields -> Click Save.
            
 
            You will then see this confirmation message: 
            
 
         2) Once image is saved, you will then go to the Medicaid menu -> Click ENTER PRESCRIPTION ENTRY ->              
   
            
 
       Complete ALL fields (including checking the boxes of all enrollments that apply) -> Click Preview ->  
   ***Please note, if you attach image first, as seen in the purple box, the information that follows will auto-fill the NPI and signature date***
       
     
      
        Once previewed. click Save and Done ->
 
      
 
   
Only if you did not follow the above step for attaching to an image, continue here:
       
To attach to the image, click Attach to Image (blue link). -> 
   
     
       Click Attach and Save -> You may then Close box.
 
     
                  
 
 
 
 
B. Another option that you have when uploading script is under the Enrollments Needing Prescriptions menu:
        1) Go to the Medicaid menu -> Prescriptions -> Enrollments Needing Prescriptions ->
       
        
 
           Click Retrieve to see list ->
 
         
         
           Click Upload Image -> 
    
         
         
       
          Choose file -> Complete ALL fields -> Click Save -> 
 
        
 
 
          Click Add New RX link->
       
       
 
       
         Complete ALL fields (including checking the boxes of all enrollments that apply) -> Click Preview-> 
   ***Please note, if you attach image first, as seen in the purple box, the information that follows will auto-fill the NPI and signature date***
      
       
 
       
   Once previewed, click Save and Done -> 
 
     
 
      
       Assign to enrollments (if available) by clicking Assign to Existing Rx:
 
     
 
     
       In order to report problems, please click on Report Problem:
  
    
 
 
     You will then click on link that applies -> 
 
   
 
    A pop up will appear requesting confirmation - Click OK once confirmed -> 
 
  
   
 
 
If you need to un-attach a prescription from an unrollment, you may do so by going to Caseload Maintenance -> Prescriptions for Caseload
 
Click "View" next to the RX Entry:
 
 
Un-check the Boxes for the enrollment(s) you wish to un-attach it from and click "preview"
 
 
On the next pop-up, click "Save & Done"
