Medicaid Cycle Calendar Explained

Preschool has a Medicaid Cycle Calendar to help you estimate the timeline of when your Medicaid batches could get adjudicated and paid. This guide will briefly go over how to read the Medicaid Cycle Calendar.

First, you can find the Medicaid Cycle Calendar under "Medicaid" -> "Cycle Calendar".

The calendar will look like this:
Below are each column's meanings.
Start & End: The start and end date of a cycle used to determine which cycle a claims batch is depending on its submission date. (Not the service dates of the claims.)
Check Date: If you receive paper checks from Medicaid, this is the check date that will appear on your checks. If you receive EFT, this date doesn't mean much.
Remit Date: The date on which you can expect the remittance information (adjudication results) to be released for batches submitted in that cycle.
Release Date: The date on which you can expect Medicaid to release payments (mail checks or start EFT) for claim batches submitted in that cycle.
